Glenmaggie DN900 Vertical Discharge Valve

HVES Designed and Manufactured a DN900 submerged Vertical Discharge Regulator for installation at Glenmaggie Reservoir, South-East Victoria. HVES also supplied a complete Electro-Hydraulic control system to operate the valve.

The Glenmaggie VDR is a Stainless Steel fabricated assembly actuated by an electro-hydraulic control system. The valve mounted Hydraulic cylinder incorporates a position transducer that allows precise control of the valve opening via the control cabinet. The seal arrangement within the Valve allows for drip tight closure.

The outlet ports are always submerged in the stilling well, this allows for effective energy dissipation and quiet operation even at full flow. This submerged discharge valve was commissioned and put into service in July 2012.
